Telehealth Appointments

Edge Medical Centre offers patients the convenience and comfort of booking telehealth appointments with their GP.

Please note that Edge Medical Centre reserves the right to convert a telehealth appointment to a face-to-face consultation if your doctor determines that an in-person examination is necessary to provide safe and effective care.

Under current Medicare regulations, telehealth services are generally only available to patients who have attended a face-to-face consultation with their GP (or another GP within the same practice) within the previous 12 months.

MyMedicare Registered Patients

Patients who are registered with Edge Medical Centre through MyMedicare may be eligible for Medicare-funded telehealth services even if they have not attended a face-to-face consultation within the previous 12 months, provided they meet the eligibility requirements set by Medicare.

Eligibility for telehealth services will be assessed at the time of booking and is subject to Medicare guidelines and your doctor's clinical discretion.
